LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — The Laurel County community is mourning the tragic loss of three young lives following a devastating murder-suicide that occurred Saturday night.

According to Laurel County Coroner Doug Bowling, Lila Asher, 19, and Jadeance Hale, 18, were fatally shot by James Priddy, 21, before Priddy later took his own life. The incident occurred at approximately 10:45 p.m. Saturday, leaving families, friends, and loved ones struggling to comprehend the heartbreaking loss.

Authorities have ruled the deaths of Lila Asher and Jadeance Hale as homicides caused by gunshot wounds. James Priddy died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the tragedy as they work to determine what led to the deadly events.
