TRIPLE TRAGEDY IN LAUREL COUNTY: TWO TEEN GIRLS SHOT AND KILLED, SUSPECT THEN MURDERS HIMSELF, OFFICIALS CONFIRM

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky.  — Laurel County Coroner Doug Bowling has confirmed that two teen females, Lila Asher and Jadeance Hale, were shot and killed Saturday night in a double murder-suicide involving 21-year-old James Priddy, who later murdered himself following the attack.

According to Coroner Bowling, Asher and Hale were pronounced dead at the scene from gunshot wounds, and their deaths have been officially ruled homicides. Investigators confirmed that Priddy died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, with authorities stating he took his own life after fatally shooting the two victims.

The incident occurred around 10:45 p.m. Saturday night in Laurel County, prompting an emergency response after reports of gunfire. When deputies arrived, all three individuals were found with fatal injuries at the scene.

Law enforcement officials have not yet released a motive, and the circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under active investigation. Authorities continue to gather evidence and speak with possible witnesses in an effort to understand what led to the deadly encounter.
