The Warren County community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Nathan Switzer, a 19-year-old from Alexis, Illinois, whose life was tragically cut short in a devastating traffic collision on June 1, 2026.
According to authorities, the crash occurred at approximately 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of 245th Avenue and 120th Street in Kelly Township. Investigators reported that a gray Ford Fusion driven by Nathan entered the intersection and was struck by a black Peterbilt truck-tractor semi-trailer. Despite the rapid response of emergency personnel, Nathan was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The sudden passing of such a young life has left family members, friends, classmates, and community members grieving an unimaginable loss. At only 19 years old, Nathan was at the beginning of adulthood, a time often filled with dreams, ambitions, and plans for the future.
