Mr. Hopkins was involved in a collision between a passenger vehicle and a truck at approximately 9:52 a.m. on June 12, 2026. Emergency responders with the Marshall Fire Department arrived quickly at the scene and transported him to a local medical center for urgent treatment. Despite efforts by medical staff to save his life, he later succumbed to his injuries.

Authorities confirmed that the driver of the truck was not injured in the crash. No charges have been filed at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing as officials work to determine the exact cause of the collision.
