SARCOXIE, Missouri — The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a tragic incident that claimed the lives of David S. Harrison, 62, and Aleasha Harrison, 58, a husband and wife from Sarcoxie, Missouri. Deputies were dispatched to a residence in Sarcoxie shortly before 8:45 a.m. on Friday, June 5, 2026, where the couple was discovered deceased inside their home.

According to investigators, both David S. Harrison and Aleasha Harrison suffered gunshot wounds. Preliminary findings indicate that David Harrison allegedly shot his wife, Aleasha Harrison, before taking his own life. Authorities have described the case as an apparent murder-suicide. The investigation remains active as detectives continue to examine evidence and work to fully understand the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The discovery prompted an immediate response from the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office.
