The Victorville community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Anysha Mott, 19, of Victorville, California, whose life was tragically cut short following a fatal shooting on Sunday morning, June 14, 2026.
According to authorities, deputies with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department responded at approximately 11:27 a.m. to the 12000 block of Osprey Lane in Victorville’s Eagle Ranch community after receiving reports of an assault with a deadly weapon. Residents in the area reported hearing multiple gunshots moments before the young woman was discovered lying in the roadway.
When deputies arrived, they found Anysha suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Law enforcement officers immediately began life-saving measures while awaiting the arrival of emergency medical personnel. Despite those efforts and her subsequent transport to a local hospital, Anysha was later pronounced deceased.
The tragic loss of a young life has left family members, friends, neighbors, and the wider Victorville community grieving. At just 19 years old, Anysha had a future filled with hopes, dreams, opportunities, and experiences yet to be lived. Her passing has created an unimaginable void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
As investigators worked throughout Sunday afternoon, Osprey Lane and several surrounding streets remained closed while detectives with the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail processed the scene and gathered evidence. Crews from the Victorville Public Works Department assisted with traffic control as investigators worked to piece together the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
While authorities continue their investigation, those closest to Anysha are left holding onto the memories that defined her life. They remember her smile, her personality, her kindness, and the countless moments she shared with family and friends. Though her time on earth was far too brief, the impact she made on those around her will not be forgotten.
