In Loving Memory of Kimora Manuel and Le’Marea Holmes

DEARBORN COUNTY, Ind. — A heartbreaking early morning crash on U.S. 52 near State Road 46 has claimed the lives of 21-year-old Kimora Manuel and 22-year-old Le’Marea Holmes, both of Cincinnati, Ohio, after a violent head-on collision involving a passenger vehicle and a semi-truck.

According to the Indiana State Police, the crash occurred at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Sunday when a 2020 Honda Civic traveling westbound attempted to pass another vehicle in a marked no-passing zone. Investigators say the vehicle remained in the eastbound lane for an extended distance before striking an oncoming Volvo semi-truck pulling a box trailer.

The impact of the collision was severe. Authorities confirmed that Kimora Manuel and Le’Marea Holmes, who were passengers in the Honda Civic, were pronounced deceased at the scene.

The force of the crash left the semi-truck stopped in the roadway while the passenger vehicle veered off the highway and came to rest down an embankment.

The driver of the Civic, identified as 23-year-old Kelis Manuel of Fairfield, Ohio, along with another rear-seat passenger, suffered life-threatening injuries and were transported to hospitals in the Cincinnati area for urgent medical care. The semi-truck driver sustained minor injuries.

Indiana State Police have indicated that alcohol may have been a contributing factor in the crash; however, toxicology results remain pending. Officials are also reviewing weather conditions at the time of the collision, as heavy rainfall and reduced visibility were reported in the area.

The investigation is being conducted by the Indiana State Police Crash Reconstruction Team, and authorities say it remains active as they work to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

Kimora Manuel, 21, and Le’Marea Holmes, 22, are being remembered by loved ones as two young women whose lives ended far too soon in a tragic and sudden moment on the roadway. Their passing has left family members, friends, and the Cincinnati community grieving an unimaginable loss.

Messages of sorrow and condolences have begun to spread across social media as those who knew them struggle to come to terms with the tragedy and honor their memories.

This crash marks the second fatal collision in Dearborn County within just days, following another deadly incident on State Road 350 that also resulted in multiple lives lost and injuries.

As investigations continue, authorities are urging all motorists to exercise caution, avoid impaired driving, and remain alert—especially during nighttime travel and in poor weather conditions.

Kimora Manuel and Le’Marea Holmes will be remembered with love, and their memory will remain in the hearts of those who knew and cared for them.
