SHREVEPORT, La. — A teenage victim killed in a Thursday morning shooting in the Cedar Grove neighborhood has been identified by the Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office as Breon Brown, 18, of Shreveport.
Authorities said Brown was found unresponsive outside an apartment complex in the 8000 block of Line Avenue shortly after 9:10 a.m. on June 18, 2026, following reports of a shooting in the area. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and attempted life-saving measures, but he was pronounced deceased at the location.
The incident took place in the Cedar Grove neighborhood of Shreveport, an area where law enforcement has responded to multiple violent incidents in recent years. Police have not released additional details regarding what led up to the shooting, and no suspects have been publicly identified at this time.
